Easter Idea: Creativity Matters with Crayola GiveawayClosed

I love when my kids draw or build things,  it shows their creativity and imagination.

Creativity is something every child can learn and express on their own, it helps them get ready for the future and beyond. Creativity is not about who´s the best artists or becoming an architect. It´s a way of thinking that encourages kids´ original ideas and develops their confidence.

We received a Crayola prize pack to get our creative minds rolling.

We absolutely loved all of these Crayola products, my favorite was the My First Crayola because they are perfect for my sons little hands. So much easier for him to draw his pictures.  My daughters loved the 3D chalk, they drew on the side walk and then it came to life. The red stood out more than any other color.  The window markers are fun to use and easy to clean off, but we didn’t go to crazy with it just in case.  The dry erase markers and board, really come in use in my house. My daughters use them for homework problems, but the only downside is that when you erase there is still a residue. It does not come off very well.

 

Crayola held a “Inside The Crayola Box” event with Lisa Loeb, where she shared her insights and her kids creativity.

Eating Healthier With Hormel Foods #HormelFamily

March is national nutrition month, with this years theme being “Get Your Plate In Shape.” The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics started this campaign to emphasize making good food choices and physical activity. You can find out more about this campaign and resources to help with healthier eating on their website.

I am the primary cooker in my house and make all the grocery decisions. I do try to incorporate a salad, vegetable or fruit with every meal. There are times I let myself give into temptation, making hamburgers and french fries or giving into sugary snacks during the day. It can be stressful taking care of three kids all under the age of 7, so I always have comfort foods on hand.

This month in honor of Natonal Nutrition month, I wanted to try something different. I have not boughten any sugary candies, and limited our in tae of red meats and other sugary treats. I introduced my children to Wholly Guacamole, for a snack, while they did not seen to like it at first. I tried adding just a little sour cream and cheese and the loved it. Since the love pepperoni so much, I had the try the Hormel Turkey pepperoni instead of the regular and they loved it. They almost ate the whole package.

Packing a good school lunch is alway important, and I usually always pack a drink (no fructose corn syrup), a fruit, and a sandwich. my kids are very picky and won’t eat wheat bread, so i have to buy whole grain white bread and without milk. The sandwiches are topped with Hormel Natural choices Turkey and Ham, cheese and lettuce (what my daughter calls salad). Hormel Natural choices deli meats are 100% natural meats with no preservatives.

I really hope to continue this path i’m on to eating right. What is your favorite eat right tip? Is there anything you have given up to eat healthy? Mine would be soda! I have been soda free for 3 months!!

**** I love the Muppets but they have long been gone on TV, so my children have only been able to enjoy The Muppets Movies. We were so thrilled when they made the announcement on this movie, and were even more excited when we able to see it in theaters. The Muppets are hilarious, after years apart The Muppets are brought back together by  big fan trying to save Muppet Theatre.  The start a big telethon to raise the money to save the theatre, but a evil billionaire is trying to stop them.  I was surprised at how many celebrities are in this movie, but it just made the movie that much funnier.   I have two favorite parts in this movie, my first is the Muppet of a Man scene. My second favorite is Jack Black and Animal being partners for control.  The deleted scenes and the blooper reel, almost had me on the floor laughing.  I just love how they added those in.

He wants to be a Fireman when he grows up, so as you can imagine this has become one of his new favorite toys.  The set is really cute, you have a fire truck that opens up to store little axes. And you can also build a small ATV, both have places for the Firemen to sit.  My only complaint is that it fell apart easily, which was to expected since they are blocks. So I have rebuilt it about 35 times in the past month. LOL!

Shake It Up Dance Wear

The line is cute, fun and fashionable with pants, shorts, tanks,tops, skirts and so much more.  they even have arm warmers and headbands.

***I received two different outfits for my daughters to try on, and the first word out of Alexandra’s mouth was “This is so comfortable.”    McKenzie my other daughter also loved the outfit, she never wanted to take it of. The dance wear we received were tanks and stretchable pants. They even look great as just a regular outfit for the day. Both outfits have a hidden waistband pocket to hold your keys or money. The clothes are designed to move with you and not stick on you.

The top of this outfit has a built-in liner for extra coverage and the pants are very stretchable.

We love both outfits!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse I Love Minnie review and giveawayClosed

The new  I Love Minnie DVD, features episodes containing  friendship, teamwork, sharing and problem solving. The 5 episodes are:

Native Trails Pure Talavera Tiles Coaster Set

Handmade by artisans, Native Trials’ Pure Talavera is the gift that gives back.  The ceramic tiles are handmade and used traditional methods. Beautiful and colorful they are 4″ square tiles sold in sets of 4.

****We have a dining table and coffee table that are dark wood and stain very easily. Every drink and hot food leaves marks on my tables, so we have been looking of coasters. All the coasters I have found in stores have been cheap and break or fall apart very easily. The Pure Talavera are so beautiful and are perfect. We have been using these coasters non stop for our drinks and food.

 

Native Trails Pure Talavera are very thick and are great for holding and kind of cups. I even received a bigger size of coaster, which I absolutely love because now I can put my pots on the table without having to worry about it leaving rings. You do have to be careful with these because they are ceramic, but other than that I have nothing bad to say. I love these!
